Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know to activate mobile Wallet loyalty for your customers.

📱 The pass on the customer side

Do my customers need to download a Walleett app?
No. Walleett relies on Apple Wallet and Google Wallet, the native wallets already pre-installed on all modern smartphones. Your customers don't need to download anything or create an account. They receive a unique link, tap it from their phone, and their pass is added to their wallet in seconds.
How does the customer receive their pass?
Walleett generates a unique link for each customer. You include it in your existing channels: welcome email, SMS, QR code on a receipt, button on your website or app. When the customer taps that link from their smartphone, they are automatically directed to Apple Wallet on iPhone or Google Wallet on Android, and the pass installs in two taps. Once installed, the pass updates itself and receives your notifications without any further action on their part.
Does the pass work on both Android and iPhone?
Yes, natively and simultaneously. Walleett handles Apple Wallet (iOS) and Google Wallet (Android) from the same platform. One link is all it takes: Walleett automatically detects the device's operating system and delivers the right pass format. No double management, no compatibility issues on your end.
What happens if a customer changes phones?
If the customer stays on the same platform (iPhone to iPhone, Android to Android), the pass is typically restored automatically via the phone backup. In any case, they can reuse their original link to reinstall the pass on the new device. Walleett recognizes them and serves the right pass with their up-to-date data.
Can the pass be used without an internet connection?
Yes. The pass is stored locally on the phone. The QR code, barcode, and displayed information remain accessible even in areas with no signal, underground, or in airplane mode. This is a real advantage for physical use cases: checkout, access control, event entry.

⚙️ Deployment and integration

How long does it take to integrate Walleett?
Using the no-code Studio, your first passes can be created and distributed in minutes. For a full integration with your existing system (POS, CRM, ticketing), expect days, not months. Walleett provides a REST API and a test environment to validate each call safely before going live.
Do you need developers to create and manage passes?
Not necessarily. The Studio is a fully no-code editor: your design and marketing teams can create, customize, and update passes on their own, without writing a single line of code. The REST API is available for technical teams who want to automate workflows: automatic enrollment at checkout, data updates after a purchase, event-triggered notifications.
Can you import an existing customer database?
Yes. Walleett accepts CSV or Excel file imports with automatic column detection. You can also sync continuously from your CRM, ERP, or POS software via the API. Walleett acts as an extension of your data: your database remains the source of truth, Walleett is the mobile delivery channel.
How does Walleett connect to our existing system?
Via a REST API, with a built-in Playground to test each call live without touching your real data. You create an access key, define the exact permissions your system needs, and connect Walleett to your POS, CRM, or ticketing platform. Main available actions: create a customer, update their info, generate their pass, send a targeted notification.

🔔 Engagement and communication

Can a pass be updated after it has been distributed?
Yes, that is one of the core strengths of Wallet compared to a paper ticket or an email. Walleett lets you update in real time the information displayed on the pass (point balance, status, event date or venue) as well as its visual. The update propagates automatically to all installed passes, with no action required from the customer.
What is the difference between a Wallet push notification and an SMS?
A Wallet push notification appears directly on the phone's lock screen, with no algorithmic filter and no cluttered inbox. It costs significantly less than an SMS and does not require a phone number. Most importantly, it is directly tied to the installed pass: the customer immediately recognizes it as relevant. It is a direct, cost-effective, and consent-based communication channel.
How does pass geolocation work?
You associate one or more geographic points with your passes (store address, event venue, delivery zone). When a pass holder gets close to one of those points, the pass automatically surfaces on their phone's lock screen, along with a personalized message. No interaction, no unlocking required. It is the only channel capable of triggering attention at exactly the right moment and place.
Can a pass visual be updated for a promotional campaign?
Yes. You can update the visual of a pass already in circulation at any time: banner, colors, image. The update propagates automatically to all installed passes. You choose whether the change is temporary (Black Friday, product launch, Christmas) or permanent. Either way, your customers see the new design without lifting a finger.

What is Walleett's pricing structure?

Our issuance costs are among the most competitive on the market. This is a founding conviction of Walleett, rooted in the refusal of the captive pricing practiced by some legacy players.
